Cyril Dobrý, the son of stage actor Karel Dobrý and costume designer Tereza Hrzánová, is a theatre and film actor. He has participated in several award-winning film and theatre projects. In the TV series Traitors, directed by Viktor Tauš, he played the lead role of Dávid Friese, a young drug dealer who unintentionally gets caught up in the world of crime and drug cartels. His character goes through a complex moral journey as he tries to survive in a high-risk environment while also cooperating with the police. In the film The Glass Room (2019), directed by Julius Ševčík, he portrayed the son of the main protagonists, witnessing the dramatic changes in his family's life and the fates connected with the iconic Villa Tugendhat during the turbulent 20th century. He became involved in a tense situation in the film Occupation (2021), directed by Michal Nohejl, when a Russian officer enters a theatre bar. He also landed a role in the film Borders of Love (2022) by director Tomasz Wiński. In the Oscar-winning film All Quiet on the Western Front (2022), directed by Edward Berger, he helped depict the harsh reality of war and camaraderie between soldiers in the trenches, playing the role of the soldier Katzinsky, a comrade of the main character Paul Bäumer. He portrayed a young Czech skier participating in the fateful race on the ridges of the Krkonoše Mountains in 1913 in the film The Last Race, directed by Tomáš Hodan. In 2023, he took on supporting roles as a photographer and porn director in the films Her Body by Natálie Císařovská and The Maid by Mariana Čengel Solčanská. In addition to his film roles, he also performs at Studio Hrdinů and the Švandovo Theatre.
