Biography

Jiří Spišák is a Czech actor born in Frýdek-Místek. At the age of fourteen, he became a member of the local theater company, where he performed in a dozen fairy tales for children. From an early age, he was drawn to studying languages, and in high school he graduated with a degree in English, which he speaks fluently, as well as French and German. He also studied Japanese at Masaryk University.

He studied acting at JAMU in Brno. Immediately after graduating, he joined the Hadivadlo theater in Brno, where he has appeared in over 20 performances. He is currently a freelance actor and a fourth-year doctoral student at the Department of Theory and Criticism at DAMU, where his research focuses on Tadashi Suzuki's acting training discipline and acting methods in general.

He first appeared on camera in the program Pirátské vysílání (Pirate Broadcast) on ČT Déčko in the role of Hugo. He can now be seen on screen as investigator Filip in the series Případy mimořádné Marty (The Extraordinary Cases of Marta). He has also appeared in several films, including Modelář (The Model Maker) by Petr Zelenka and Dům v lukách (The House in the Meadows) by Tereza Kotyk.
