Amplion argentum with the ensemble of the full-length production for the humorous dialogue 2021
My name is Martin Toman and I’m an actor and musician. I graduated in acting from the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava (VŠMU) in 2024, and I currently work as a freelance artist. I focus on theatre, dubbing, radio, and music. I voiced Mufasa in the Slovak version of Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King. I also compose music for theatre and radio projects – including Tereza Raquinová (VŠMU), Ako sme sa hľadali (RND), and the radio play Kým si bola for the Young Authors Forum of Slovak Radio.
I regularly work with Slovak Radio and RTVS as an actor, writer, and musician – for example on the series Život s vôňou vanilky and the New Year’s Eve comedy sketch V moci noci. In 2021, I received the Amplion Argentum award at the Amplión festival for an original comedy dialogue.
Right now, I’m part of the upcoming film project Nepela (punkhartproduction). I also enjoy writing lyrics, composing music, and occasionally directing – especially in projects that connect professionals with passionate amateurs.
