Ondřej Černý is a Czech actor and healthcare clown. After graduating from a multi-year grammar school, he attended the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts and had a three-year engagement in the musical ensemble DJKT in Pilsen. He then studied drama at DAMU (The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague), where he graduated in 2009 under the guidance of Jaroslava Šiktancová and Lukáš Hlavica. Since then he has been a freelance performer, except for two seasons when he returned to the Pilsen musical. He has worked with a number of Prague and regional theatres, and as a teacher at the Pilsen Conservatory. In recent years he has been most closely associated with the Vršovice MANA Theatre and Radek Brzobohatý Theatre.
He studied piano, danced standard and Latin American dances competitively. For several years he has been actively involved in martial arts and self-defence.
