Renata Drössler (*September 16, 1963, Třinec, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech-Polish actress and chanson singer with extensive experience in theatre, film, dubbing, and pedagogy.
She graduated in acting from the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU) in 1986. She performed at the Polish stage of the Těšín Theatre (1986–1990), Teatr Rozrywki in Poland (1990–1991), and for six years at the renowned Semafor Theatre in Prague (1990–1996). She has also performed at the Pod Palmovkou Theatre (including the play Edith and Marlene), the City Theatre in Most, and various other stages.
She currently performs at the Karlín Musical Theatre in Prague in the musical Dracula, portraying the role of the "hourly nymph."
In addition to acting, she specializes in the interpretation of chanson and blues. She has toured with her recitals in the Czech Republic and abroad and has released several albums (e.g. Motýl něhy uletí). She sings in twelve languages: Czech, Polish, German, French, English, Russian, Italian, Spanish, Hungarian, Latin, Hebrew, Yiddish.
Renata is also an educator at the International Conservatory in Prague, where she teaches singing, stage speech, and acting.
