Vendelín Urban

Actor Vendelín Urban is a graduate of the music and drama department at the Prague Conservatory. In 2025, he played the lead role of Jirka Wolf in the twelve-part Czech Television detective series Zločin na dobré cestě (Crime on the Right Track), where he also co-wrote rap songs for the character.

You can see him on platforms in the miniseries Pozadí událostí (Background of Events), the series To se vysvětlí, soudruzi (It Will Be Explained, Comrades), Oktopus, and Kriminálka Anděl (Angel Crime Scene). He also appeared in smaller roles in the television projects Božena, MOST!, Specialisté (Specialists), Chlap (Man), and Pod hladinou (Below the Surface).

He has several music videos and student films (FAMU, FAMO) under his belt. He is also a singer and songwriter.

Vendelín has also performed in Prague theaters. You could have seen him at the Divadlo pod Palmovkou theater in T. Dianiška's production Bezruký Frantík, at the National Theater in the production Král Oidipús, or in the performance SEN s.r.o. by the Kampak ensemble.

In his free time, he seeks inspiration in nature and enjoys traveling and sports – he is into snowboarding, surfing, and tennis.

He has received the following awards for his work: the Student Thalia Award (2016) for original work in the art school section and the Adam Fenix Award (2016) for supporting talent.
