Biography

Anna Šišková is a Slovak actress working in theatre, film and television for over the 40 years. She’s best known for her lead role in the Oscar-nominated film Divided we fall (2000), for which she received the Czech Academy Award for Best Actress. For 26 years she’s been an integral part of the famous Slovak theatre Astorka, where she has played over 130 roles and twice received the national award for Best Theatre Actress. On Slovak and Czech television, she has appeared in fourteen different series, such as the currently airing Nurses (SYKE). Her film career includes internationally awarded works such as Filthy (2017), Cruel Joys (2002), Little Girl Blue (2007), and The City of Sun (2005).

Anna lives in Bratislava. She often travels to Prague to play in theatre Studio Two.
